Yesterday I tweeted that 'fabric blocking' was a trend to watch, this is not a term that most people have heard of so I will explain more...

Fabric blocking uses the juxtaposition that can be seen between colours in colour blocking and interprets this through fabric textures. For example, you could wear a beautiful skin such as crocodile with an Angora knit or a soft silk against a long fur. To highlight the fabric blocking and the beautiful textures, try too keep to one colour in an outfit, nude is best for this.

Hair heros normally come in the form of primped and preened models and actresses. This season, however, I will be taking my cue from Elizabeth, the Lhasa Apso who was awarded Best in Show 2012 at Crufts yesterday. Keeping the centre parting, ignoring all side parting temptation, wear your mane long and wear it sleek.

Regular haircuts and intensive conditioning after colouring will ensure a soft effortless result.
