Bare it!

Bare it all this summer (once the nice weather comes back!) with crop tops. Worn with a pair of tailored trousers or a maxi skirt this look can be sophisticated and unexpected.

Selena Gomez wore her crop top fitted with a matching skirt for a distinctly 50s look.

Maxi skirt £40 River Island

Copy Kate

Princess Katherine, the generally high street royal, arrived at the Jubilee celebrations today wearing a popular Alexander McQueen dress. However, this outfit has already been showcased by Tulisa and Kim Kardashian...perhaps not worn in quite the same way though!

Worn at knee length with a matching jacket and nude heels, Kate looked demure and elegant.

Kim and Tulisa, however, opted for sky high heels and bare shoulders to accessorise their outfit.

Good girl gone bad

Having just seen seen Emma Watsons new look for a bad girl character in 'The Bling Ring', we have been inspired to shun the pretty pastels of Spring / Summer 2012.

Take influence from casual-cool Twilight actress Kristen Stewart with grunge minimalism as a style focus. Bare faced with a slick of bright lipstick, keep fussy additions to a minimum...

These high fashion dresses are beautiful, bold and bad (in the good sense of the word!).

Be inspired...

Zara have launched a great section on their website where customers around the world can upload pictures of themselves in Zara pieces. This is a great resource, you can discover new ways to wear items and be more adventurous with purchasing!

Called 'People!', the section contains beautiful 'style-stalker' inspired photos that contain at least two pieces from Zara's current collection...here are some of our favourites.

Pump it up!

Making the most of the sad fact that I will not be going on holiday to a tropical in the immediate future, I have decided to shun the summer beach hair trends that insist on trying to perfect every year and, instead, focus on the perfect blowdry...

With volume, follow the lead of blowdry perfectionists Olivia Palermo and Kate Middleton, avoid an American pageant finish by going easy on the hairspray!

Perfect Blowdry Guide

1. Wash your hair with a good quality shampoo and conditioner, Aveda Shampure Shampoo and Conditioner is a great range for all hair types.

2. Smooth a heat protection balm through hair, concentrating on ends. Heat reduces the protein in hair, thinning it and making it look less healthy, I would recommend a balm such as Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair.

3. Use a hairdryer (without a nozzle) to roughly dry hair all over, do not flip your head over as this only creates width not height.

4. Using hair sectioning clips, split the hair into four horizontal layers (you may want to split into five layers depending on thickness) leaving the layer closest to your neck free.

5. Use a large barrel hairbrush, lift hair in small sections from the roots towards the sky using a hairdryer with a nozzle to smooth. Continue this across the bottom section, moving onto the sections towards the top of the head.

6. Finish using a light holding spray such as Kerastase Age Premium Laque Substantive Fishing Spray. Use very little to avoid making the hair heavy and dulling natural shine.

7. Shake it out, bounce and shine!

Sleek chic

Katie Holmes was looking fresh and relaxed in daytime stripes and white jeans, proving to us that an outfit doesn't need to be complicated!
